The New Board Governance In Action Institute

This practical application and information-packed conference begins with an overview of the benefits and practices of quality leadership and policy governance for non-profit boards of directors and CEOs. It provides a synoptic introduction to methods used for board level stewardship using quality improvement techniques.

During the institute proceedings, Carolyn Bailey, North America's leading consultant on the integration of policy governance and total quality improvement will provide several keynote addresses. Consultants, board members and CEOs of organizations from throughout Canada and the U.S. who have been using policy governance will share best practices. Several facilitated discussion sessions will be conducted on key issues for boards and CEOs.

Topics are still being finalized with the input of many boards throughout North America. Some topics include:

  • How to improve board strategic decision making.
  • Establishing performance parameters and compensation of Chief Executives.
  • How boards can collect and use data more effectively.
  • New techniques for staying in touch with the organizations' "owners".
  • Examining responsibilities that boards cannot delegate.

Watch here for regular updates on this most significant gathering of nonprofit boards and their executives. It will take shape before your eyes!
